Investor due diligence: pre-investment screening of ESG risks and opportunities.

At the request of private funds and public finance actors (MDB), Hyacint Consult supported pre-investment screening as part of due diligence processes. Our added value is a thorough experience in guiding emerging market trade and investment, deep expertise on ESG due diligence based on IFC PS's and OECD Guidelines (including in minerals and agri industries), as well as a focus on ensuring legislative compliance (EU SFDR, Taxonomy and local legislation). ​

 

Investor screening and ESG due diligence assignments by Hyacint Consult team were undertaken for a range of private funds and public financing facilities, as well as (EU-funded) subsidy programmes in support of EU Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA), EU Global Gateway projects and related programs.

 

To support our clients in investor due diligence, our team assessed risk as well as opportunities -with a focus on ESG themes - to prevent and mitigate negative impacts and enhance value of (proposed) investments. Working in tandem with investee and investor relations teams, our bridge function supports trust-building to bring out the vulnerabilities and work towards a de-risked investment. ​​​​​​
