Based in Brussels, Hyacint Consult brings together a team of dedicated experts. Founded by Famke Schaap, bringing over 15 years of global trade and ESG risk management experience, our advisory practice operates with a global reach.
Working in a highly customized manner, we match our client request with complementing local and international expertise. Our global network of experts which is grounded in two decades of work and action in the wide range of countries and geographies, ranging from OECD countries including EU, US, Africa, Asia incl China, India, South-Korea and Canada as well as Central Asia and Eastern Europe.

Famke Schaap
As Founder of Hyacint Consult (2019), Famke has been a trusted adviser working with companies, Governments and other stakeholders on risk and impact in global supply chains. She combines deep ESG risk management and trade expertise with strong insights into the functioning of raw materials supply chains.
At large, her advisory work follows the global ‘trade routes’ of raw materials, with geographic experience in Europe, the US, Africa, SE Asia, South America and Central Asia. Whilst leading assignments with business and other stakeholders in policy and practice of responsible and competitive supply chains, she equally conducts research and regularly is invited as speaker.
In her work, she enjoys working closely alongside Management and/or client -teams to support supply chain insights, guide legislative or standard compliance, (EU) external affairs or audit preparations and improvement actions.
